Arrived to find I'd left boots/gloves at home, so spent an hour buying some at Andy B's. Got out ok, even though HT, but windier than I'd thought when I got out a bit - E is slightly off at HI, so maybe a bit of a shadow on the beach. Anyway, had a couple of runs, but had trouble waterstarting with the cold water in my ears and my brain refusing to work. The swell was a bit weird, didn't seem like it was doing much, but then crashed on my head a lot while I was in the water! Came ashore, tried to get out again but just didn't have it in me, I wasn't enjoying it. So, Dear Diary, I stopped! Spent the afternoon at a friend's place!
